Out of the Blue

Someone posted a URL in the forums here recently for a site that will estimate how much time it would take to play all the game's in one's Steam library. I was afraid to try that at the time, and I'm pretty sure I already added enough games through the Summer Sale to require another entire lifetime to play, so I'm even less inclined to find out just how badly I've overcommitted in this area.

Committed Links: Thanks Ant and Acleacius.
Play: Handless Millionaire 2.
Links: What "Gladiator 2" Might Have Looked Like. *Blinks*
Stories: Cow falls through roof and kills man in Brazil.
Media: Watch All of Bladerunner Boiled Down to 60 Amazingly Animated Seconds.
Weird Ways to Burn 200 Calories.
Woman pulls porcupine quills from raven's face.
Follow-up: Asiana says it may sue over bogus pilot names report.

from what i read, they actually got an NTSB official to confirm the names. turns out it was an intern, probably a professional troll on the internet.
Or they didn't understand his sacarsm, "Uh, yeah sure, those are the pilots' names."

Truth is brutal. Prepare for pain.

Why not both?

Oh, wait, that's right, b/c Asiana might sue Blue...

Asiana might have a case against the NTSB, but probably not against the TV station.

Yeah, I was wondering about that. If the station got confirmation from the NTSB I am not sure how Asiana could sue the station and win. Also, in the battle for public sympathy and good PR I would think either ignoring it or saying something like "this is a tragedy for the families of the victims, not a punchline" would probably work better then "How dare you sully our good name, see you in court!". Just saying.

Asians can't take a (hilarious) joke!

When a us airplane crash happens, it's not a joking matter any step of the way. But when it's another country then it's fine? Even more so when it's racist jokes?

Sounds like Nick Cave found some of the same books I read in the 80s....

Porcupine quills have barbs, so it probably hurt like a mofo coming out. I thought it did pretty well for a raven.

I think for all his objecting, he did, which is why he was hanging around with those people rather than trying to depart the scene.

If it makes you feel any better, Hoop, I spent 8 hours yesterday swapping laptops in trucks...not fun in 100 F weather...worn the hell out today.

Wow thats hot weather for working in nin.
Thankfully the worst of our Winter is only a period of 4-5 weeks, I miss the colour & daylight savings most. Last Summer we played a lot of twilight golf with friends & their kids, the golf courses are near empty here since the earthquakes & quite cheap.

Would love to buy that person a drink that made up & supplied the fake pilot names with a straight face.

I'm thinking Nick Cave had a serious case of the munchies after knocking out that rejected script for Gladiator 2.

We are offically deep into Winter here & it's cold, the dry frost's with nice days have gone, it's now a seemingly continuous icy rain.
It's fun at this time of year to in the early hours watch golf on tv & experiance the contrast of a howling sleety storm outside & the beautiful sun baked golf courses of north America & Britain.

I just read that script story, too...totally bizarre.
