"Those who would sacrifice some of their liberties, for some security, deserves neither and will eventually lose both." -Benjamin Franklin

"When the people have suffered many abuses under the control of a totalitarian leader, they not only have the right but the duty to overthrow that government." - The U.S. Declaration of Independence

Swap leader for government/system^^ and you pretty much have it as it is right now in most "democracies"... That really are corporatocracies / neo faschist regimes, yes neo-liberalism = new reich.

Welcome to 1984 in 2014, welcome to the brave new world, all hail his forderie!

It's sort of like a brave new world; the new technology is sort of scary," said Page Bowden, a parent of a student at Winthrop University's on-campus nursery school. "But when you stop to actually think about it, and think about the level of security that [it] affords you as a parent and your children, it's worth it."

And that sort of fallacious reasoning is precisely why the gubment is running roughshod over civil and human rights. You really think you or your child is safer with this? Sad.

Aye... Why not just implement curfews while we're at it, no good person needs to be out at night...

It would be funny if it wasn't real... As it is, it's just sad.

"Nobody wants to be nobody in America. Ed is the apotheosis of a prevailing American syndrome. It used to be that someone became famous because they were special. Now people are considered special just for being famous. Fame, itself, is its own virtue.
