Metro: Last Light Selling Well

Deep Silver announces some sales figures for Metro: Last Light, showing 4A Games' shooter sequel is selling far better than its predecessor. Here are some facts and figures:

  • On Windows® PC, the game more than tripled Metro 2033's worldwide sales over the same opening week period
  • In the US, Metro: Last Light sold through more boxed units in its first week of sale than Metro 2033 has managed lifetime to date
  • Across all formats worldwide, Metro: Last Light has sold more units in its first week of sale than Metro 2033 managed in 3 months
  • Metro: Last Light has shot to #1 in the weekly charts in multiple European territories including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, and also in the UK, where publisher Deep Silver recorded their fourth straight week at number 1

It was buggy at release. A lot of indie games are. A trade off having something new and different from the clones. After the patches it was very much playable( even though i had a comp to run it at it worst ) Your style of play is your style of play. If u needed to save scum you weren't ready. Tactics, equipment or difficulty. I actually went through it a 2nd time with the oblivion lost mod wit "realistic damage"and higher res textures.

I didn't have a problem with the interface.. Were you born in the 90s or late 80s. i I find gamers born in that era that never expirenced the golden era of gaming short sighted and easily defeated by barriers of entry to some great games. That's why the mainstream industry is simplifying gaming as a whole. And I'm happy that kick starter is enabling some great games to be completed , that would never see the light of day other wise. And im glad to see small devs out of the EU that remember those good ol days and are releasing some great games.

Everyone has there opinion but stalkers imersion and feeling of fraility trumps metro 2033 mainly corridor shooting
