Anyone tried this for Steam or is there a better method?
Finally! A method to DELETE files stored in Steam Cloud servers!

Oh wow, never heard of that...gonna bookmark that, if it works...Thanks!

I bookmarked it a while ago, but never got around to trying it. I used to disable it for certain games that had huge save files (Fallout, Skyrim), and I remember an issue at FNV's release where it would overwrite your saves with old files. I finally disabled Steam cloud completely a while ago. I had a problem with one game (I forget which) that I had played before and had saves in the cloud. I started a new game, but every time I quit, it overwrote my new game with the old games. I only play games on my gaming machine anyway.

I'm sorry, what's the issue with the Steam Cloud? I seem to have missed a page here...

Sync issues can occur. I had that problem with FTL where a savegame would be available on one machine but not another even though it kept saves in the cloud.

Borderlands 2 does that to me sometime, but typically I just start the game back up from the PC I last played it from (remoting in), exit the game again so it resyncs, and then it's fine.

However, that seems to be the only game that ever gives me any Steam cloud issues.

8. Cloud is NOT secure. May 17, 2013, 15:54 Bard

Up here in Canuckistan companies that must comply with our privacy laws are not allowed to store their data in US based cloud services due to the shenanigans the NSA are up to.

F the cloud. Great technology in general but until legislation catches up to protect it I don't trust it much.

The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country.
