How would you even know that if you didn't play it through? The first hour is not indicative, I played it through .. it is an OK, 5/10 RPG game. It's a raw SCi-FI RPG done in a way that I wish more indy rpgs were done.
It's only fault is that it's too short and too weirdly paced. Which leaves them no time to develop the characters or really the player (who ends up with skills coming in so fast you have a "WIN" button for battles by the 2hr mark.) And yeah, the naming of the characters.. let's just chalk that up to "ideas we hope to never see in a RPG ever again"
I liked the crafting system... combat was meh, story was good, but it was short, and that means every element was too short, not fleshed out enough.
Anyway, it is a average RPG, played worse, played better. But in no way is it "on so many levels bad" . It is not great, but it is not horrible either.
