Another Bethesda Mini-Tease

Bethesda Software tweets of a new brief teaser video on Vine, another effort to whet our appetites about something or other following the short video they posted yesterday. The new clip shows some burning sunflowers, a straightforward clue that they are planning an arson game starring Vincent Van Gogh. Or maybe they are showing why we can't have nice things. Either way, we should know soon enough. Unless they decide not to tell us right away, in which case we won't. Glad to have cleared this all up. Thanks gravity.

It's some Japanese zombie game. Nothing to see here.

Man I fucking loved the multiplayer. After that game and ET the MP in games lost its charm. Fuck vehicles. Fuck gigantic maps. Fuck realistic damage. In RTCW and ET you had to either empty your clip in someone to kill them or 3 bullets to the head. It's what seperated the men from the boys if you will xP

Wolfenstein...killing Nazis...what an inventive and exciting opponent.

I have a sliver of interest in another Doom game

0% interest in another quake game

and utter revulsion for yet ANOTHER Wolfenstein game.

If this IS the teaser they could not of made a worse more uninspired choice.

Just out of curiosity, what game ARE you looking forward to?

LOL at Blue's take! This continues to be way too ambiguous for me to even bother to speculate. I don't feel teased as much as mildly annoyed.

if you right-click on the vine video to pause it , you can see that that is a face/head of a robot/zombie Alien in the left background.

plants vs. zombies 3?
1. EA owns plants vs zombies
2. There has to be a PvZ 2 before a PvZ 3.

I think its just a straight forward reference to the Flamethrower weapon from Return To Castle Wolfenstein and 2009's Wolfenstein by Raven.

RTCW has the best flame thrower ever.

Yeah Wolfenstein is like an old title that's seen enough light in it's days. I honestly don't see any refreshing revisit to Castle Wolfenstein or anything like that seems all too appealing. There is just too much brought to the genres these days that a simplistic shooter can't really hold much to. But let's wait and see, maybe a lil too early to jump the gun.

It's probably a matter of taste. Personally I think that game set in iran, iraq, etc. are just as worn out.

What I miss about today's game is that you rarely or never are allowed to do your own things to the game - as new maps, custom addons etc.. Game producers are too greedy to allow it, which is a shame.

Eh, Wolfenstein is kinda played out. I'd rather they re-announce Prey 2 with a new title and larger scope.

A brief summary of the information out there so far hinting to Wolfenstein.

I stand corrected from the previous thread... I didn't know that Zenimax bought Machinegames, so that studio was not on my list.

But yeah... it looks like Wolfenstien for sure... although I have no clue what burning sunflowers have to do with it... unless it's a reference to the flame-thrower.

A metaphor for the flames of violence and hatred consuming beauty.
