Air Conflicts: Vietnam "Takeoff" Trailer

Here's a new "takeoff" trailer from Air Conflicts: Vietnam shows off a bit of bitComposer's upcoming aerial combat game. The clip is mostly helicopters (feel free to substitute the soundtrack from this clip), though we eventually see some F-4s, F-104s, and other fixed-wing aircraft as well, including a glimpse of some B-52s.

Nice graphics, but the flight engine seemed pretty simplistic. And when a jet and a helo got shot down, they got hit with 3 missiles each, not one (see trailer at 1:22 and 1:38). This looks way more HAWX: Vietnam than DCS: Vietnam. While I don't need ALL the detail of a DCS sim, something with some sim detail in it would be nice.

Much more interested in DCS UH-1 Huey, which is immenent at this point. Once the 1.2.4 patch for DCS World is ready, the Huey module will launch at the same time. The 1.2.4 changelog is out at this point and all indications suggest that its just undergoing final testing before launch. Once you catch the simulation bug, thus sort of arcade stuff just doesn't cut it anymore.

What's with the horrible music? Guys, Vietnam game 101 means a solid soundtrack from the era...especially for trailers where you're trying to sell said 'Nam game! Search Youtube for "Vietnam War The box tops- the letter". Makes all the difference in the world. That aside, gameplay looks pretty decent so I'm most likely in at this point...if you get the music worked out!

Battlefield Vietnam FTW!
