Out of the Blue

I seem to have narrowed down the odd behavior of embedded videos I've been noticing to Chrome, as I've been able to properly use the buttons on videos using other browsers. This is not the first time I've experienced problems with YouTube specific to Chrome, which seems odd in light of them both being Google products. Hopefully they'll work this out before I'm forced to switch browsers

But I am an aspiring (and not very production ATM!) 3d artist.. I look at all the stuff and see stuff.. can't switch it off. Heck I look what is in what container and get quite a few laughs out of that.. there are some really absurd combinations...

Doesn't make it a bad game mind you, but it is still annoying to see such huge potential beauty and perfection be wasted by laziness that a developer like this does NOT need to show.

Utter laziness or console memory limitations gone crazy is what.. that's all. It takes about 2 minutes to modify a face texture to be slightly different and another 2 minutes to modify certain parts of a face model up or down, left or right. And another 30 minutes to create different colors and patterns for clothes, and however long their art pipeline from export to import into the engine takes. (If it's unreal engine, that's probably less than 10 minutes)

Creating UNIQUE art assets is expensive, modding them for slight variation is not. And hair and eye color is one of the easiest things in the world of art to change when you have a done model of someone to work with.

But worse than the people, all children in this game (per gender) are clones. It is so absurd to see a downscaled clone in the arm of that women on battleship island and 10m along you see 2 of them playing with a girl that looks like all the other girls (ugly as hell to boot). The models of the children are anatomical incorrect (sometimes bones are displaced and stretch/bend in absurd ways)

This is such an absurd stylistic break too. The world is unique, and they squander their worlds impact with laziness like that.

;/

You're not supposed to be paying that much attention the rabble. I haven't noticed it much and I think there are more models (or at least I've been given that impression) than people here are implying.

The Navy wants trucks with lasers? What's next, sharks with frickin' lasers?

No, just a few more billion looted by the MIC on nonsense that'll never work, much less be used.

At the very least, fat space marines seem dead.

Very cool graphics, even if the entire sequence made no sense.

The xenoracist society I'm good with. But, even in nin's screenshot, it just looks like someone used the clone tool excessively.

Outside of the interactive NPCs, is there an explanation for why there are a total of, perhaps, seven models of NPC throughout the whole of the gameworld?

Generic Black Dude
Generic Black Chick
Generic Blonde Dude with Blue eyes (young)
Generic Blonde Dude with Blue eyes (slightly older)
Generic Blonde Chick with Blue eyes
Generic Auburn Chick with Brown eyes
Generic White Dude with Blue Eyes (Same as the slightly older blonde dude but with no hair).

Um, because creating unique art assets is expensive? See Oblivion, The Elder Scrolls.

Also because it's a super racist closed society so there are likely to be a ton of blonde people with blue eyes that look alike.

I switched from FF to Chrome for smaller reasons..... you can't imagine how much small issues can start annoying the heck out of you... or maybe you can seeing as you are forced to use Windows 8...

To be fair, Vista was a fair bit worse when it arrived. At least things more or less work with W8, it just suffers from a UI designed for brain dead retards. Man I hated Vista...
