The internet's fine with Penny Arcade doing a kickstarter to fund a site that's already successful, and are happy to hop on board with other kickstarters that don't give clear indications as to what they're doing with the money past their initial goals (or even before them), but they jump on this one?
I'm not about to throw money at it, but aside from the things other people here mention it's just not that big of a deal. It seems like people are only angry about it because they found an easy target, not because something really wrong is happening.
