Activision cut about 30 jobs globally today, reports Kotaku, where they have an official statement about the layoffs from the company. They originally heard these centered around Call of Duty: Black Ops II developer Treyarch, but Activision tells them that this is "a minimal reduction in staff to better align our development talent against the needs of DLC development. The release of the DLC will not be impacted by this move." They do confirm other cuts, however, saying these mostly come in areas dealing with licensed games. Here's the deal:
