Has Ken Levine put out a dud yet? I know he did Thief, System Shock 1 and 2 and BioShock and those were all really great.
Granted, watching the trailer makes me wonder if the actual game part can hold up, but it seems his track record is really good so far unless I'm forgetting some games.

what? System Shock 2 was the best game he has made.
I'm not too keen on this one though, I bought into the dark underwater atmosphere of Bioshock but the setting for this game just seems really off for some reason. |

That's an interesting question! And while wikipedia isn't always the most accurate, it mentions he worked on a few games I either wasn't aware he did, or forgot about:
System Shock 2: lead writer and designer
Tribes: Vengeance : writer
SWAT 4 : executive producer
I thought Tribes Vengeance was pretty good. Never heard of the other one, though. |

Sorry to completely change subject/game here: Did you get around to loading up FO3 yet with some of those good mods? I haven't finished the game yet, but it has easily moved into my Top 5 all time favorite games.
Actually, not yet. Work got crazy, and with all the drama around GPG, I got re-addicted to SupCom. After my experience with Oblivion mods, I wouldn't play FO3 without them! |

My concern is that the game is going to be too linear and restrictive, especially after playing games like Dishonored, Far Cry 3 and Deus Ex: Human Revolution. It certainly doesn't look as bad as ACM - which looked terrible in the preview videos - but I'll wait for reviews, more gameplay videos and user opinions before decided whether it's worth buying.
At least the PC version seems to be being taken seriously, as it includes high resolution textures, a FOV slider, anti-aliasing, ambient occlusion, etc. |
