Not in Euro Truck Simulator they don't.

So is the offset stick design that I see they didn't go with on the PS4 controller again. I'm not being a troll; I'm genuinely curious. Why do people think sticks that aren't aligned are actually better?
When I'm holding a controller, aligned thumb sticks just feel natural to me. I've never owned a Xbox or 360, but every PC gamepad I've used has thumbs sticks set up roughly like the Dual Shock's ones. It's not assymetrical that matters, it's placement. Having your thumbs up higher, closer to the fingers than to each other, is a more natural placement.
The dual shock put the sticks wherever they fit, and 20 years later Sony still uses that. The Xbox put one stick where it's most comfortable, expecting players to use it more than they use the dpad. This was right, but they possibly should have moved the other stick on the 360 (I see the debate) The WiiU Pro controller, or whatever, put them both in the place where they're most useful for an FPS game |

I know its easy to rag on but I thought the shaped face buttons were innovative. I still occasionally have to glance down to see which color button is where on a gamepad, with the Gamecube pad you could tell simply by touch. The SNES pad sorta had that too with some buttons being concave and some convex. I also liked its triggers with the secondary click at the bottom. Combine the 360 controllers physical dimensions and layout with the Gamecube face buttons and triggers and the PS3's d-pad and we'd have the ultimate controller. Imo. I always thought the Wavebird was the best controller ever designed, so comfortable and perfect form function. |

No way, longer! I actually modded my 360 for longer sticks. |

So is the offset stick design that I see they didn't go with on the PS4 controller again. Actually Nintendo got it right. Turn your hands sideways like you're holding a controller. Your thumbs automatically go high. That's where the most commonly used input should be.
These days the most commonly used input is probably the sticks. So the sticks should be high. I can see an argument for the buttons, but Sony is just being gigantic asses for keeping the dpad there, too. |

I like mostly everything in this prototype, except for the glowing PS Move crap on the back.
Please let motion controls be a dying fad of last generation!
It looks like they're making the controller a swiss army knife, stuffing anything they can save for an LCD screen. |

| Better thumbsticks and looks like a meatier design, perfect. The triggers could be fine, its hard to tell with the angle. |
