CI Games announces Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 is gold, and the sharpshooting sequel will be released for Windows, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 on March 12th in North America and March 15th in other territories. Here's word:

WARSAW, POLAND, February 14th, 2013 — CI Games, a fast-growing international publisher and developer of interactive entertainment, today announced that its upcoming game, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, has completed development and has officially gone “gold.” Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 will be available for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 system and Windows PC in North America, Europe, Australia, Africa and part of Asia, starting March 12 in USA and in Europe beginning March 15.

Marek Tyminski, CEO of CI Games, said: “Since release, the first Sniper: Ghost Warrior has sold over three million copies on multiple platforms. Ghost Warrior 2 will deliver an even greater experience for all those fans of the first game, expanding on this dramatic, exciting world of elite military service.”

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 is the only multi-platform first person shooter exclusively designed around the modern military sniper experience. Using the advanced capabilities of CryENGINE3, the game delivers graphically stunning environments, more diverse challenges, a rebuilt AI system and the exacting precision and accuracy that made the original a worldwide hit. With unprecedented levels of realism in weaponry, ballistics and environmental factors, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 offers the ultimate balance of skill, tension and action.

I'm actually one of the few people it seems that loved Sniper Elite V2...Yea it was not a stellar amazing game but that sniping mechanic & the graphics were really solid..imo.

Uhmm, how are you guys confusing Sniper Elite and Sniper: Ghost Warrior franchises? Confused
We aren't! We're just talking about two game series. It's like talking about Doom & RAGE together. How are you not getting that!?

Hopefully the AI is better than Sniper Elite V2. They will flank you in Sniper Elite but the enemy pursue behavior doesn't seem that smart.

Been waiting for ages
You do know Sniper Elite and Sniper: Ghost Warrior is 2 totally different franchises and developers etc right?
Hoping for a demo, the first one did have a PC demo before the consoles got one which was nice
Yes, no shit. I own both. I'm comparing them. They are both sniper games and competitors. The AI in S:GW wasn't the best, I'm hoping it's even better than Sniper Elite V2's which was better than S:GW but could have been better.

Despite my love for WW2, I love the jungle setting for a sniper game so much more. Perhaps Sniper Elite can go to the pacific next time

About time they actually completed the damn game! Took an extra year to complete it. Let's hope they got it right

S:GW2 uses CryENGINE3, but they apparently re-wrote the AI to suit the style of game.

Video reviews say the AI will now properly flank and spot you and you can no longer rambo through a level. It is 100% fragile sniper.

But whether it's good or not.. who knows.
