It can't read my CD anymore. It's got that weird thing where it looks like moisture seeped into the CD, which makes it unreadable.
/sympathies. Well, now you can play it again!
And nin, the graphics mod you referred to in an earlier post was probably Reborn. It has some glitches (eg the wrench model vanishes) but the overall impact is excellent.
My main gripe with the game is the infinite respawns - wish I could turn them off. I know it adds to the tension but I already finished it more than once and at this point I'm just playing to take in details I missed previously.

@Asmo
The cyber-nannies are the ones that really scared me. Something about the sound and how they managed to sneak up on me was just leathal.
Amazing how to this day, I run into others that say this is their fav game ever. Even people that were not born when i started gaming on the vic 20.

This is Xerxes. All personal report to the download site
BTW would anyone be interested in doing a graphical / engine remake for this?
I can map like a boss with the NS2 spark engine (unknownworlds.com) It seems like it would be a fantastic engine for it.
we could use the original voice recordings and sound effects possibly

My affinity for SS2 led me to try to get into SS1, and I even got into it a fair bit, but the controls were a huge barrier. I'm gonna check this out.Bleeder wrote on Feb 13, 2013, 20:49:

Speaking of creepy! We need to get Undying on gog!
I still have that lying around somewhere. Couldn't finish it - too scary!
I agree. I'm a bit of a chicken when it comes to scary games, and that one was spoooooky!
edit: I'm assuming this is where you can vote, if you've not already.
