Asylum was so clean, city had a bunch of random boring stuff that didn't flow as well. Still good in general, but not as put together. I beat Asylum very quickly, I'm only about 50% in City and keep trying to go in and finish it but not really caring that much to.
I hope they return more to the structure of the first game. |

Loved the first game, story and game play was top notch. Second games story was kinda lame, too many non-related story lines? I dunno, just didnt flow like Asylum. I also thought they added too much to the game play, really just needed to tweak and refine the moves\gadgets from the first but they seemed to try and throw everything in but the kitchen sink, overkill.

| I liked the first 2 but but the 2nd was using the same formula where you had a bigger world. I something new and different in the 3rd not a bigger world than the 2nd. |

Great news, I just finished both Asylum and City. Maybe it's just me, but I found Asylum to be a bit more polished. After finishing City, I went back to Asylum and played some challenge maps, and my immediate thoughts were "wow, the combat seems much more fluid than in City". Not that the combat is bad in City, but for whatever reason I found it a tad better overall in Asylum. Some other (minor) issues I had with City: - Steam overlay doesn't work at all (popular discussion without an actual solution in the forums) - loading times of City are horrible compared to Asylum (despite having -if at all- only slightly improved graphics). I even moved the game to the SSD, and the loading times are still insanely long.
I hope that the fact that the announcement was so subtle and that Rocksteady isn't the developer doesn't turn out to be what I fear it could be. |

| I am in, I enjoyed the previous two quite a bit. The fact that they are being comparatively "under the radar" about this leaves me a bit skeptical as to what exactly this game is and who is developing it. Rocksteady isn't doing it...so who is? |

| Agreed, great games both. Hardest part of both games was one of those Bat Computer simulator missions in City where you had to dive down and go through the tunnel.. Tore my hair out over that. |

I found Arkham city too much of retread of the original game and it lacked in both plot improvements, originality or graphical advancement. Not a bad game in isolation, but compared to the first, it was more like large DLC than a "new" game. If the next Batman game is "more of the same" then I'll skip it. I played that game twice already. |
