I'm not sure John McCain would use that has his defence; if he's not Creationist many of his voters are.
People see someone of another race being called a monkey and assume the insult is based on race. I don't think it was, it was based on perceived intelligence. |

| If anything the McCain comment was the most insulting to the poor monkey that did go to space, and monkeys in general. Besides, Amadinejad is an ape, so is McCain, and so am I. And if we are going to strictly classify stuff, "ape" isnt really precise enough to be completely separate from our definition of "monkey". If anything I would say this is unfair to monkeys in general....
Although calling him a puppet or a monkey is serious underestimation, which is a problem with US foreign relations since WW2, and is one of the reasons your guys fail so hard at foreign intelligence. Whatever kind of villain he appears in the minds of the american public you can bet your last dollar that he is a smart dude he definitely has balls more balls than any US or EU politician that I ever heard on TV anyway....

| To anyone paying attention to the news, it was an obvious play on the fact that Iran claimed to send a monkey into space. Haven't heard monkeys used to insult Persians before, so not sure where that's coming from. I don't like McCain a bit, but I think people are seeing things that aren't there. |

| I dont think what McCain said was racsist, and i'm more left then right on most issues. However i think this is where people just suck it up and take it for what it is, an insult to a puppet. |
