"Crime Warner Cable adds new mandatory fee."

I see what you did there.

I read that MS is pushing for a 12-18 month upgrade cycle for Windows along with a subscription model similar to the new Office 2013
Good luck with that.
Last I've heard their Office package isn't exactly a hot seller anymore. New OS every year is just silly talk.
I've switched to Open Office about a year ago, never looked back. Since then most of my office staff converted over to Open Office also.
No gimmick basic Office software, it works and the price is right.

What decline for Win 7, a few thousand users of Windows 8 doesn't mean that Win7 is dead.

Well, I reluctantly broke down and upgraded my desktop PC with Window 8 on Jan 31st (I didn't want to miss the $39 upgrade price)... Best Windows ever! Ok, not really.
In fact, I absolutely hate it! Well, that was 40 bucks wasted. Classic Shell helps, but Window 8 (sic) is still a complete mess. Luckily, I had the good sense to install it on an old SSD, so my system is now triple boot (XP, 7, 8).

After playing around with it for a couple of days, I can only see using Win8 if an application or game requires it... Otherwise, I'm sticking with Win7 as my primary OS at least until Windows 9 is released early next year. (Yes, I read that MS is pushing for a 12-18 month upgrade cycle for Windows along with a subscription model similar to the new Office 2013).

1. Windows 8 is garbage.
2. Classic shell and familiarity makes windows 8 suck less, but still sucks.
3. Internet explorer is garbage.
4. Internet explorer is better than it used to be, but still sucks.
5. The only reason "IE is "growing", is because people buy windows computers and laptops, which have IE on, and people are still lazy.

Totally Agree!

As Windows 7 starts it decline?? What crack pipe has the retarded been smoking who posted that fairy tale?
Yeah, as far as I can tell my Windows 7 machine isn't declining. In fact, it's gonna be living on my desktop straight through this Windows 8 catastrophe until Windows 9 arrives on the scene. Whether it lives or dies at THAT time remains to be seen. But for the next few years, Windows 7 is still kicking ass and taking names. Please before you make another outrageous post consider going into a drug rehab program. If you don't get help at Charter, get help somewhere.

Just because you aren't afraid of something doesn't it mean it can't kill you...
