I loved this game on PS3. Didn't care much for the RTS elements but powered through it anyway to enjoy the music, story and characters, they all made up for it. |

This game had great heavy metal aesthetics, an awesome soundtrack, very good voice-acting, and funny jokes.
Too bad it wasn't fun to play. Also, why did Halford look like David Bowie? |

Eh it was OK. The combat was a bit undercooked and the endgame was way too heavy on the (boring) RTS element. Still played through just for the Double Fine presentation.
I don't see why they are porting it. As has been said, because of the licensing issues it must cost a fortune (unless they took care of that back when they made the game). |

It was a console exclusive. No thanks.

Apparently they found a local record store that had this guy who was like the encyclopedia of metal, and was introducing the developers to metal sub-genres nobody had heard of before. |

The humor was great, and Jack Black was a perfect fit.
I kept playing it as a hack & slash with backup. Take off, summon rally point, create murder ball of troops, land, go kick some ass. Wash, rinse, repeat.
And if you quit before Goth land, you missed out on one of the most awesome f*cking landscapes I've ever seen. |

They better be targeting a budget price; the console version routinely sales for $5-$10.
As for the game, I liked the world, but then it was an average action game and a really awkward RTS game, neither of which blended well with one another. I always had the impression they didn't know what to do with it or somebody else was pulling the design/gameplay strings. Completely underutilized world and too much tedium. Waiting for a $5.00 sale, Ray |

| Looking forward to this one. I don't have a console, but I really enjoyed watching the cinematics on youtube for this game. |

| I think the combat style would work well with a keyboard and mouse. I played it through on PS3 with my step-daughter and both of us thought it was fun except that we both found ourselves feeling like we were fighting the gamepad to control the game. |

Interesting. Didn't get very far in the xbox version, but I might give it another shot.
