I am still waiting for Netflix to do on demand payments instead of subscriptions since I don't watch a lot of movies and old TV/television/telly shows/series. |

I find it odd that Netflix made 945 million dollars in the quarter but only posted an 8 million dollar profit and people are over the moon about it. Better than losing money I suppose. Those licensing fees must be an absolute bitch.
I also found it interesting that they were going to cut the DVD part of the company out and spin it off as a separate unit when it makes up the lion's share of the company's revenue. |

| Netflix did a lot of great things this year to climb back into my good graces. Lilyhammer was interesting and House of Cards looks amazing. They spent 100 million on it and they are airing all 13 episodes in February, something the other content originators should take note of. I think this could be their Mad Men that sets them up as both a distributor and creator. |
