Ex-Relic Boss Joins Activision

Alex Peters has taken the position of VP of Production at Activision after serving as studio head at Relic for the previous two years. The new job is listed on his LinkedIn Profile as noted by Develop. This news comes amid the sale of THQs assets, which include Relic. Develop notes that SEGA is widely believed to be the frontrunner to purchase Relic, but we should know soon enough, as an announcement of the results of the sale of THQ's assets is expected today.

So Koch Media bought Volition. Koch Media's Deep Silver publishing label publishes the X series of space sims. Does Volition have any rights to Freespace or is that in Interplay limbo? Not that it would necessarily mean anything, but I thought it was interesting.

If you don't like where gaming is heading, stop giving your money to the people who are taking it in that direction.
