Trials Evolution: Gold Edition in March

Ubisoft announces a March 21st release date for Trials Evolution: Gold Edition, the upcoming Windows edition of RedLynx's signature racing franchise. This comes with word that the franchise has sold more than four million copies on consoles to date. Here's word on what to expect from the PC version:

Trials Evolution: Gold Edition will include the complete, critically acclaimed game Trials Evolution, specially enhanced for PC, plus all of the Trials HD tracks, recreated using Trials Evolution's graphics and physics engine. All the features that are the foundation of the unique Trials experience will be included in the game:

Global Leader Boards

Local and Online 4-Player Multiplayer

Robust and Powerful Track Editor

Indoor and Outdoor environments

Bike and Rider customizations

More than 129 Tracks

Awesome news. Trials 2 on PC was good but quite punishing. The Evolution videos look more fun due to more bikes, bikes with more agility, shit loads of user content and multiplayer. I will be all over this when it comes out.

Edit: with 4 controllers and the easier courses it makes a great party game...

To me, in this genre, Happy Wheels is still the best. Happy Wheels link The gore and the characters just makes it so much better.

Super excited for this. The company makes more than just the Trials games, but they're all the same thing: side scrolling time trials with a heavy emphasis on vehicle balance. If you happen to have an iPhone, they made a surprisingly good port of MotoHeroz for a dollar (with an unfortunate micro transaction hell). It'll give you an idea of the gameplay, with little cars instead of a bike.

Fantastic. I hope they price the game cheaper than on consoles, which is too expensive.
