Out of the Blue

We had a surprise this morning, as we got hit by a snow storm overnight. I think it was a surprise at least, I don't actually pay that much attention to the weather. The good news for me was that MrsBlue needed to get such an early start that it was impractical for me to shovel us out in the pre-dawn darkness, so she took a taxi, allowing me to get to clearing our snow in a more leisurely manner.

That is a hard policy to enforce if your past doesn't leave a trail that can be downloaded from online. I don't think there was a single teacher (pre-college) that I considered a good role model to me. I respected a good number of them, but none stood out to me as "I want to be like them". Especially the drunks or the male teachers that were a little too friendly with the female high-school students. I think that is just the nature of the profession though as people are super defensive about their children and you need to be able to command respect from the students. If you are going to be a teacher, make sure your slate is clean or your skeleton closet has some good reinforced hinges.
