First 20 levels were the best I have ever had in an MMO. The starting island was just wonderful. After you get out into the world it went downhill faster then I ever thought possible. Haven't gone back in years. I'd still recommend doing it free just for the starting.

When did you play? I got it right at launch and I saw plenty of potential fun, but it was all covered by one of the buggiest messiest games I have ever played. MMO launches are never great, but that one was

Is it still worth checking out as a newbie? I never got to try it and I love 1980s/80s Conan series. I still haven't opened my game box. :/

I have no idea if it got any better, but they send me emails every now and then saying I should come back and see all the new stuff. Not sure if I will ever take them up on that. That game was just so bad and clearly unfinished at launch.
