Wizarbox Bankrupt

Paris-based developer Wizarbox (Risen, Grey Matter) filed for the French equivalent of bankruptcy last month, according to a report on Videogames Pockett. The story quotes Wizarboss Fabien Bihour talking about the difficulty in getting game assignments from publishers and an unwillingness to pursue unprofitable iPhone development as factors in this, while also discussing hopes to get back on track after reorganizing by developing some serious games. Thanks Develop.

These guys just did ports of other people's titles. Risen for example is a PB made game as someone already pointed out. No big loss.

If it is Grey Matter studio, which is talked about, I hope they get a real considering making a new "true" successor to Return to Castle Wolfenstein. We need a new old school fps, who isn't a f2p....

Just to clarify, in France it's known as 'le bankruptcy'.

Très bien, Monsieur LeCouteur!

I liked "Risen". Wasn't it done by the developers of the original "Gothic" games?

Consoles? I owned two: a Pong clone and an Atari 2600. And that's it.
