There's a "Spanx" ad running on your site (ran in the side bar) that features women clothed in skin-colored bras and panties. Unless you pay close attention, they basically look naked.
I work in the equivalent of a pirate ship, so nobody here cares, but I imagine there's plenty of readers who are in a pretty tight work environment that would probably not appreciate that particular ad.

Stale popcorn and noisy children included? Yeah, I can't imagine anyone will be going to the theater that much. And that doesn't factor in the concession items either. I go see maybe 2 or 3 flicks a year on cheap days or matinees when it's $5 and bring in my own snacks that are healthier as well as insanely cheaper. Yeah, $20 seems off. But they have almost 90% of the subscriptions they need. And I suppose $20 is the cost of 2 movies, potentially, plus it's riding that "feel-good" wave that things like Kickstarter did when fresh (meaning I doubt how many of those subscribers will renew the second time around.)
They'd probably be better doing $12-$15 and limiting it to no opening weekends. Only a little more than one movie, and it would get people to go. Even if they see two or three movies the incremental cost per movie is minimal, people only need to see 13 or so movies to make it pay off, people will pay above to see opening week (maybe do $5 opening weekend tickets for subscribers), and the bottom line is you get people going. Heck, $10 plus $5 for opening weekend. Plus half-price drinks. |

60 days. They were nearly 400K short with about 15 or so days to go, and have had a huge push in the last week or so.
I fervently hope for everyone who supported it that Braben actually intends to make this game. They've at least (finally) released a ton of updates that makes it appear as if they're genuinely excited, and they do keep showing interesting videos now, so it looks like they're actually working on it.
I still have my doubts that he can keep his entire company afloat on 1.2 million pounds, though...
Anyway, if it gets made, I'll be happy to pick up a copy full price.
Edit : Fully funded now. They made massive jumps once they announced a Mac stretch goal at 1.4 million. I guess a lot of people are interesting in playing this on Macs.
