Yes, they stay in the groups once you make them. Sure, it's doable, but why wouldn't you make it user friendly? It is functional, but not one single iota more. How complicated is it to use the arrow keys and the right control to either select or deselect weapons in a particular group? It's not rocket science. |

Outside of combat UI was bad in closed beta, so I cant see much happening on that front. I dont see why they bothered making it if they wont change stuff for the better...
There is lots of areas in which they still havent bothered with, gets me why they bothered trying to make a game that so many desire and then leave it in its present state. I stopped playing it since the last patch, waste of time... |

Seems like that's just an issue with UI in general when it comes to this game, at least when outside of combat. The combat UI is just fine, with the exception of weapon grouping, (which shouldn't be done during combat anyway.)
Outside of combat the UI leaves a lot to be desired. I can say it's a beta, so hopefully it gets some work put into it, but I'm not holding my breath. |

Well Im hooked on MW:O. I do get some of the complaints though, the game is only now begining to look like a proper beta up until the last patch it seemed more like an alpha.
I really dont understand the 'grouping weapons' gripe though?! Use right control and the arrow keys and presto. Your mech will remember the groups so you only need to do it once...
The Stalker is too fucking OP. Im not one to usually whine about balancing but its so powerful its almost laughable. It can obliterate any mech on the field in the blink of an eye (Inlcuding an Atlas) and this wouldnt be such a problem but its almost as tough as an Atlas which is a a huge NO NO. Since on paper it has barely more armor than most heavies. |

It's released yeah, as much as PGI would like to claim it's still beta. They've been taking money for months now and there will be no resets. Sounds like a f2p launch to me and according to some recent forum polls, most players would agree.
Really the beta label is just to protect them from major gaming sites trashing their product. They devs stated they have some sort of agreement that it wouldn't be reviewed until its out of open beta. They also stated that it would be moved out of open beta when community warfare was in, which was supposed to be 6 months from open beta, but they haven't mentioned a peep about it since open beta went live months ago, so it's likely very much delayed.
Considering the rate they've been adding content, it could be "beta" for years. |

Well they fixed my main issue of crashing on load, props for that, but the black screen and 4 FPS bugs are still present and the performance increases weren't noticeable.
My FPS is still hanging in the barely playable range on low settings and using a custom config to make it look even worse. This is with a quad core @ 3hz and a 4850, which is able to run farcry 3 on high smoothly, so they still have quite a ways to go optimization wise. |

| I really like that the Stalker has been included. One of my favorite designs from the old table-top days. Never could play it well, of course, but one of the modules or something featured a graphic of a STK-3K Stalker smashing through a wall to get to the 'mech on the other side. Good stuff. I am still dissapointed in M:O though. They still have the worst weapon grouping system on the planet, bar none, and practically no immersion. Graphics are improving slightly, but the store is improving significantly. Seems a bit odd to me, but I'm not their accountant. |
