it's basically confirmed that Phantom Pain is a Metal Gear game
the developer's CEO is named Joakim, which is an anagram for Kojima
Colonel Volgin appears in the trailer, he's from MGS3
Big Boss has the same scar in the trailer as he does in the Zeroes game
David Hayter has basically Tweeted that he's in the game

Is there a full episode of this online? Last year's 2011 was online for everyone for free and legally. It's not there anymore. I can't find 2012's.

Yeah, that was one of the things that lead people to believe its a new MGS game, and the guy at the end kinda looks like solid snake. People might just want to be seeing what they want to see, of course. People who care way more than I have started writing things up about it. |

It probably worked too, since a lot of the friends I saw last year bad mouthing the VGAs were now raving about them.
I still find it deplorable.
The awards themselves are pretty good. They've had that indie games category since 2010. A Call of Duty game has never won Game of the Year, only really competing in Best Shooter and Best Multiplayer.
However, the show itself sucks. Imagine the Oscars if they only announced 6 awards and aimed themselves at 18-35 male gamers. |

Maybe they just hired some people who have a clue? I know it's Spike but... it's kind of possible.

Well the fact that Call of Duty didn't win anything hints at the possibility that things may have changed - they used to wet themselves over that series. I remember them giving one of the CoD games an award before it had even been released. |
