Dishonored Patched

The Bethesda Blog announces the first patch is available for Dishonored, updating the stealthy assassination game to version 1.2 on all platforms. Here are the patch notes:

  • Support for playing the game on multiple screens.
  • Game Settings are now saved and restored properly even when using Steam offline.
  • Fixes for some interactions with Granny Rags that invalidated nonlethal playthroughs under certain circumstances. (Note: These fixes work even for savegames AFTER the final Granny Rags encounter.)
  • Fix for a crash that could happen during loading/transition between areas – notably near Dr. Galvani’s house.
  • Reworked “Choke” interaction to make it more reliable in valid contexts.
  • Fixed minor localization issues (PS3/360).
  • Fixed global post-process that sometimes worked improperly during some missions.
  • Fix for a rare crash that could happen when killing a NPC with a possessed rat and spring razor (PS3/360)

Never had any of these issues at least I recall, but still glad they are working on it. Too bad their focus is on challenge maps atm. instead of story.  
The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders.That is easy.All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger.It works the same way in any country.

I agree. Given that the game is broken up into chapters it would make sense to recognise them individually, as otherwise it seems a bit pointless to allow you to replay a chapter. Then again, considering non-lethal kills can so easily turn into lethal kills (a body sliding down into water; rats randomly devouring unconscious enemies) the achievements are a bit niche and are really only for OCD-types. I think the game could have done more to reward stealth.

Yeah I almost lost my shit when I hit that bug. Thank heaven for the mission autosaves at the beginning.

It's a good thing they patched in multimonitor support, now I don't have to start Flawless Widescreen before starting the game anymore... /eyeroll

Never fails to amaze me how people with no access to source code and working with a 3rd party app can support multimonitor better than most big companies can... Kudos for (finally) including it...
