No idea what you're talking about. I play GTA 4 on the PC, GTX470, and my MSI Afterburner is most definitely showing 100% GPU use with most graphics details in-game cranked to the max and I get 50+ fps in most areas of the city at 1920x1080. No graphics mods. |

Oooo can't wait. I really didn't enjoy 4 very much (for many reasons), but this could be the redeemer for me in the GTA series.
Anyone else notice the see/hear/speak no evil at the end? Nice touch :] |

They really should have waited for the next-gen consoles, as they could have still released X360/PS3 versions with shitty graphics. Graphics look terrible?? Compared to WHAT? Holy fucking shit, nothing but a bunch of goddamned crybaby whiners who think console games are supposed to have better-than-life graphics. Compared to GTA 4, it looks like GTA 5 is a whole world better and I'm STILL amazed by all the detail in GTA 4, which I play almost every fucking day right NOW.
And I'm strictly a PC gamer, so if there's anyone who should be spoiled by awesome graphics, it would be me. (Yes, I play games with next-gen level graphics, but I still don't expect every new game that comes out to be leaps and bounds beyond the last game I played.) Take a fucking reality pill already. |

Rockstar make the best trailers. I must have watched the "Welcome to the Jungle" San Andreas trailer 100 times. If this game is half as fun as San Andreas, I'm in. Looks like they stepped up the lighting engine and detail level as well.
Some people need to get off their negativity pedestal and actually enjoy something for once. This game looks incredibly rich and fun. Top tier entertainment.
I can understand all the hate pertaining to the previous GTA's shitty port to the PC, though. The game uses 25% of my GPU's power, looking at MSI Afterburner. It's also not the best game of the series.. I run it on low, no shadows or reflections etc. @ about 40 fps average (Intel E8500, P5Q, GTX 570, 4gb RAM). It's pretty pathetic. Mafia 2 ran at pretty much 60fps the whole time. Maxed out.
I'll be getting GTA V for PS3

Try this mod. The default handling physics were ok to me, but after using that mod, I can't go back to the stock handling. The high damage option in the mod is still too forgiving, so I used an editor to boost the damage multiplier to all cars to make it more realistic. It's much more fun and challenging running from the cops knowing your car isn't going to drive away from a 60 MPH head on crash. Thanks for the link! I just started playing the GTA4 expansions yesterday. Gotta run everything on low, but it's still really fun.

Speaking of GTA I found it odd that the other day in a mall they were playing Zapp and Roger's More Bounce to the Ounce. It was a pleasant surprise but still odd to hear it in a mall. Guessing the music guy snuck it in on the playlist to see if anyone was paying attention. |

If you don't know what you're getting with GTA at this point then you've clearly never played the other games. Shit, this series was the only reason I got an 360 in the first place. So yeah, I'm down like a clown Charlie Brown. I'm going to play the shit of this and enjoy the shit out of it.

The trailer doesn't give us any idea of what the gameplay is like, which is a concern after GTAIV. Seeing as how this is like the 10th GTA game I'd say you can hazard a fucking guess. |

Shocking, a couple dozen people on Blues complaining about a game they don't even play.
Meanwhile, 24 million people bought and played GTA4, making it one of the most successful games of all time, and this trailer seems to offer more and better of the same.

The Half Elf wrote on Nov 14, 2012, 12:07: Graphics look better then GTA4 (seriously you aren't getting Crysis level of detail for that big of a world) Of course not but Skyrim had great graphics for an open world, as did Far Cry 2 - both performed excellently on PC and offered substantially better graphics. I know they're very different art-styles but I'm talking about the technical level. GTAIV looked terrible and suffered framerate drops on consoles, despite rendering at 630p on PS3.
I know that graphics aren't the be-all-and-end-all of gaming but I haven't seen anything to inspire confidence with regards to gameplay and Max Payne 3 has me worried about this. The lack of a PC version isn't forgiveable, especially after GTAIV. And as I've pointed out before, Watchdogs looks much better and they developers are treating the PC with respect rather than contempt.
The lack of any gameplay videos speaks volumes. |

The trailer doesn't give us any idea of what the gameplay is like Exactly. Hard to get excited over a bunch of cut scenes which most likely bear little semblance to the actual gameplay. |
