BioWare Mythic Now Just Mythic

The Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning Website announces the studio known as BioWare Mythic since it was changed from BioWare when the companies merged in 2010 is now known simply as Mythic (thanks VG247/Massively). Here's word on this latest branding shift:

In the wake of a new focus our studio has recently changed its name from BioWare Mythic to Mythic. Everything else stays the same - our passionate teams will continue to support and develop our existing titles as well as working on some new and exciting projects.

If you want to learn more about our studio, visit our new website, our dedicated Facebook page, or follow us on Twitter @MythicNews.

I never thought I'd see the day, but I've now written off two of my most favorite developers of the past, Blizzard and Bioware. My how times have changed.

I was thinking the same thing about blizz the other day, when the topic of a d3 expansion came up.

I miss the old days too! So which game companies are the best these days for PCs/computers?

CD Projekt. And I'll second the Square Enix / Eidos vote.

How about Valve Software? :)

If they'd ever release something I'd care about, sure. I don't give a fuck about DOTA2, and I have no idea if they even have anything else lined up.

Square Enix springs to mind, as both SR3 and Deus Ex had capable pc ports. Gearbox spent some time making sure Borderlands 2 actually had some pc options. Hopefully they'll do the same for Aliens in the spring.
How about Valve Software?

ea is like an incurable disease, luckily it's one we can choose, not to be infected by.
The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country.

If Mass Effect 3 had a terrible ending, that doesn't necessarily make the game bad. I never played it, so I can't judge. What sank Bioware for me was the one-two punch of a terrible rush-job cash-in Dragon Age sequel and an absolutely abysmal waste of what could have been a great singleplayer follow-up to a fantastic singleplayer series on the execrable "Star Wars The Old Republic".

I never thought I'd see the day, but I've now written off two of my most favorite developers of the past, Blizzard and Bioware. My how times have changed.

On a related note (though still off topic) I went to school with a guy named 'Courtney Love.' Poor bastard.
Everyone was cool to him though, I guess people figured he had it bad enough.

Wow, I would expect daily beatings with a name like that.

Interesting story on Kotaku, Casey Hudson asking for fan input on Mass Effect 4. I suppose that's an improvement on "Screw your opinion we want it this way".

I'd be partial to "The Adventures of Garrus".

Better watch out, or you might see the gamer poop edition of Mass Effect.
