The Witcher came from books? Wow...learn something new every day.

Think there's like 2, with a 3rd coming, once it's translated? Amazon shows Aug 27th 2013.

2 short story collections and 5 novels, I believe.

Oh wow. Are those all translated to english? I've got a couple on my amazon wish list.

Evidently not. From Wikipedia:

Miecz Przeznaczenia (The Sword of Destiny) (1992)
Ostatnie zyczenie (The Last Wish) (1993, English edition: 2008)

Krew elfów (Blood of Elves) (1994, English edition: 2008)
Czas pogardy (Times of Contempt) (1995, English edition: Planned 2013)
Chrzest ognia (Baptism of Fire) (1996)
Wieza Jaskólki (The Swallow's Tower) (1997)
Pani Jeziora (Lady of the Lake) (1999)

I've got to say, I'm heaps impressed with the All Your History series.

They do a good job and research well (very few if any errors) and presentation is well thought out.

My only gripe would be the low quality, maybe if they could release a HD set on DVD or Blu Ray I'd buy it. Or even a downloadable HD version that costs, I'd pay for it. =)

Edit: So I type that, and notice the videos now support 720p. Hell yeah!

ALWAYS - ALWAYS recruit from within - promote someone capable, than bringing in some clown you don't know who doesn't know how your company works.

Does not mean it will be any better. I work for a place that only promoted from within for a long time, now we've got producer / designers who can't be bothered to write anything down and just expect projects to be made. Or their idea of a design document is a list of features. Projects are green lit based on a cool premise and hook without any clear vision through the full scope of the product. Then again, that's just how it is in the video game industry.

The biggest problem is the relative immaturity of the industry itself. The Homefront post-mortem posted a few days ago was a really good read, especially in regards to promoting from within.

..is in peril due to incompetent fuckwits in management.

I have a half dozen friends that worked for one of them, and things were going REALLY well until they brought in a producer who was, simply, a complete fucktard.

He single handedly pretty much destroyed that company pursuing his own goals and glory rather than doing his job.

ALWAYS - ALWAYS recruit from within - promote someone capable, than bringing in some clown you don't know who doesn't know how your company works.
