How he can repeatedly do things like that to order is just amazing.

Yep. I wonder if people will ever start seeing him as a great composer, though. After all, he composes for those "Silly video games."

I'm not saying like Mozart or Beethoven great, but as far as I'm concerned, he deserves just as many compliments as John Williams or Christopher Franke do.

There's no denying that sounds amazing performed by the London Philharmonic. Far Horizons is probably the most iconic piece (leaving aside the title track) and probably the best suited to an orchestral performance. From the OST though, probably my favourite song is Ancient Stones https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CjrmRW3VXf8 - there's something quite haunting about (what I just learned was ) the hammered dulcimer and that crescendo near the beginning really has Soule's Elder Scrolls signature all over it! It reminds me of old memories of Morrowind: turning a corner in the wilderness - a vista opens up, the music surges and you just stop to take it in for a while!

I haven't played all the games that Soule has produced a soundtrack to but there have been many that I have loved. I didn't rave about Oblivion's soundtrack quite so much but with Skyrim I think he really helped the game achieve a setting and aesthetic that stood on its own merits in the Elder Scrolls series, where I was worried it would no longer be possible. How he can repeatedly do things like that to order is just amazing.

Wow, that is an incredible piece of music when you hear it like this. Jeremy Soule is really really awesome.

I picked up the skyrim soundtrack set in like Jan or March, and was surprised they were still shipping versions signed by him. No idea if they're still doing it or not, though...

Might be worth an email if you're interested.

Cool, I'll check it out. Thanks man

DC Universe 8-player raid completed by 4

They had no choice, they are the only 4 players left.

Oops, sorry. Thought this was Slashdot.

I'd never even heard of this volume, so I went and bought the first one. (It's on sale for 1.99, but only if you like/click/whatthefuckever it on your bookface account. Which I don't have, so I guess I don't qualify for the sale price? What a bunch of bullshit.)

Anyway, I'll gladly pay 4 bucks more not to have to sign up for Zuckerberg's bullshit page.
