Dark Horizons Kickstarter

This Kickstarter from Max Gaming seeks to crowd-source development of Dark Horizons: Mechanized Assault Vehicle, a mech combat game based on Dark Horizons: Lore, their Torque-engine mech game, saying: "The main goal of this Kickstarter is to bring back what made our 2005 IGF finalist Dark Horizons: Lore so popular with its player, Faction Wars." They are only looking for USD $15,000, saying they are creating the projects in their spare time in between contracts.

We have been working on games since 2004. While we are working on it in our part time, we have successfully created many games this way. The original Dark Horizons: Lore was created this way and a lot of the work on Lore: Aftermath as well. We have lots of iOS games created in our spare time as well. The Kickstarter allows us to work during our day hours as well to speed up the creation of the game and allow us to add more content.

We want to launch the game on all 3 platforms on steam as well so we would appreciate any up votes. Our greenlight page is at http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=103861170

Heh. Not a chance. Watched too many part-time projects fail.

Not only that but it looks especially terrible considering MWO and Hawken are both already coming and have superb looking engines and gameplay.
