Steam Halloween Sale

Steam's Halloween Sale is underway, offering discounts on all games with spooky content, which is a lot of them, far too many to list (about 80 titles in all). Discounts range from 25% to 75% off.

This sale actually pisses me off. A day before it I bought The Walking Dead for €25,- instead of €15,-.

Goddamnit. Un-fuckin'-fair.
Which is one reason to not buy steam stuff when its not on sale generally speaking.

Had to learn that the hard way I guess

There's always one game that I can't stop playing long enough to get to the rest of my backlog. I have around 120 hours in Borderlands 2 now and I'm not done. Handsome Jack is such an asshole only killing him once just won't do.

It really annoyed me that you only get to re-kill the Warrior, and not Jack, if you go back to the Vault area. Grrrr....

Any feedback on lone survivor?

I have many of the titles I'm already interested in that are on sale, but thats one I don't have.

I'm still waiting for $5 or so on rage.

Blue,
Just a tad more than 80 things on sale. More like 200

Steam caps out at 100 on the front page under specials tab, more of their unpolished UI (protip for valve, hire a UI specialist who will enjoy and find interesting working on polishing the UI, and keep his wheeled desk near the UI code).

If you want Amnesia or the Penumbra games, you can also get them direct from the developers store for 75% off. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe you get a Steam key as well as a DRM free download, at least I did when I pre-ordered Amnesia from them.

I like how TF2 is in the on sale section.

I think I'm around 95 hours...trying to finish up quests before hitting the DLC and then on to TVHM.

Think it's pretty much my pick for GOTY, baring any last minute surprises.

Jesus! Between everything in my queue, my right kidney going to Project Eternity, and the upcoming xmas sale, I would prefer no sale at all.

My backlog is absurd. It's the indie bundles that inflated that list into the hundreds...

Was hoping for a huge sale like spring and winter. Oh well, guess I'll have to wait 'til December to clear out my wishlist.

At least most of the games on sale actually qualify as suitably "Halloween-ish". A lot of games in lots of sales this time of year make me scratch my head. Of course, the Steam list has some weird inclusions too, like Orcs Must Die and Fallout 3. Great games, but not horror-themed. (And then there's RAGE and DC Universe...what in the hell??) I'm looking at getting Prototype 2 and Home, maybe Walking Dead as well.

I may grab a couple, but most I don't have on my wishlist. Hard to ignore Home for $1.49...

I was hoping to see Containment: The Zombie Puzzler but it must be too much of a stretch unlike say Orcs Must Die.
