Whatever they sold the first 3 years for certain they can count half of those. That is kind to.

During the same period about 2.5 billion pc's were sold, sure not a perfect match, but so what, they make stupid comparisons about how uber they are, I'll just throw out 2.5 billion to 70 million. 35 to 1. More world gaming hours, more world streaming hours, social hours, business hours.

And likely trillions of hamburgers were sold. More entertainment. More value.
So what?
How many of those computers had more than integrated graphics?

It's definitely not 50%. This is sales. Not refurbs. Not replacements. Sales. Do you really think half of the first 3 years were people buying second xboxs? How many people do you know that went out and bought 2? Microsoft actually covered all of those under its warranty, eventually, so if your friends went out and bought a replacement for their original xbox they're probably kind of stupid and paid way more than they needed to.

Yeah you are right. 1/2 of the people got their boxes replaced. A few bought 2nds at that point.

Interesting, is "MM" a British thing? Never heard it before.

NeoGaf, despite being horrifying, is actually a great place to get numbers from. They have people spending weeks trying to snoop these things out.

Nevermind the fact that close to half of those 70m units are RROD replacements, lol.

Neogaf actually used to ban people that said this, as they've debated it and realized there's zero chance that the RROD replacements significantly altered this number, let alone can make someone say "the fact that close to half..."

The attach rate for the 360 is out of the stratosphere if they've only sold 35MM units. It's already extremely high at 70MM.

I meant people going out and buying new xboxes because of their system crapping out, as many did, and Microsoft fully supported this time around by making the hard drives external and easily replaceable. What I did was exaggerate because of the high rate of failures in their early units-- I'll be sure to get the exact stats for you next time.. or maybe I should just debate it over on Neogaf first to make sure I get your numbers right.

I should have been more specific for fear of being grouped in the "would have been banned on NeoGaf crowd". lol

So an utterly USELESS firmware update, yet if I want to use any of Sony's online crap (or even log in so I can use my RDR DLC), I HAVE to download it.

Fuck Sony and their BS update implementation system.
