Yeah, I played FFXI for 8 years on and off up until June of this year. Loved it to pieces. But after playing GW2, I'm hooked. The design is so good, there's no way I could ever go back to a more traditional MMO. It would be like going back in time. |

It'll be interesting to see how fast the subscriber rates falls again once those 2.7 million people have played through all the content.

The only change is that instead of picking up the quest from a single person you just get the quest when you walk into the area. It doesn't feel any different from the standard heart quest.
Once I got to mid-level the DE's were few and far between and there wasn't anyone around to do them anyway. After about level 25 or so you've seen most of the different quest types and the number of events falls off to the point where you're just hammering out quests like any other MMO. |

The two biggest things I wish they'd take from GW2 is getting rid of mob tagging and instanced nodes. I really hope they make that change for Titan. I also enjoyed using Dodge in GW2, which you can kind of use on the Monk character.
A lot of WoW quests are still the boring kill X quests. But they break that up from time to time with unique quests. For example, sniping Hozen so your Dwarf buddy can infiltrate an enemy camp. You just don't see those types of quests in other MMOs. Dynamic events are still "go here and kill X, escort Y, or harvest Z."
I still love GW2 though. WoW cities have nothing on Divinity's Reach. |

| Not even 3 million Pandaria sales but 10 million subscribers. Well. Guess we know how many accounts are gold farmers now. 7 million! |

I was there at launch. I was there for TBC. I was there for WotLK.
Pandas have zero pull. Less than zero actually. If WoW was suddenly F2P, I really doubt I'd bother to even try it. The ball is dropped. |

I didn't like GW2 much. No disrespect but I bought Mists and been enjoying it. If memory serves I did see a couple of dynamic quests in the early Monk stages but I would like to see a combination of typical quests and dynamics quests and the answer is so simple:
All Blizz needs to do is replace ANY grind quest (kill 15 birds, 15 pigs and 15 wolves) with a simple dynamic quests. |

| I passed on this one, too much stuff to go through and returning to a paid sub game feels weird. Maybe next time, we'll see. I had no interest in the story and Pandaren aren't a big draw for me so hopefully next time they go with something else. |

Can I watch Firefly? Do you like it enough for me to enjoy it without being a fool? Can I enjoy white wines, or do you only like reds? |

| I know people will bitch, but Mists is awesome. They did an outstanding job on quest and zone design, and the monk class is a lot of fun. Most of my guild has returned and we're hoping to start raiding soon. |
