New Morrowind Overhaul

Ornitocopter now offers version 3.0 of Morrowind Overhaul, a collection of individual mods for The Elder Scrolls IV: Morrowind. Word is: "Basically MO is a 'compilation' of the best mods out there, packed together with care for detail and user-friendliness. In fact you will be able to install hundreds of beautiful mods at once, with a simple installer designed by us with simplicity in mind. Another thing that I have to mention is the attention to create something that keeps the Morrowind’s feeling intact. That’s why we tried to choose only the mods that were really well made and faithful to the original colours and environment." Thanks Shacknews.

You know the game is good when it takes "hundreds of mods".

You just lost all credibility as a pc gamer.

eh, he is blocked by many here and was thrown under the bridge a long time ago....

LOL. The first time I rec'd a message like that. I'm one of those guys now.

I have never had to block somebody because I couldn't handle reading something (well other then you, because like everyone blocks you, duh). But ok. Didn't know I was that much a jack ass. Esp over this. Good stuff.

I just know that you are going to lose incredible amounts of sleep over it....the horror!

That's a cool thing to do ^^ Alas, the mod-db link I posted is not live yet for downloads.. which sucks. Ornitocopter has plenty other links for it, and I played it for some hours now. It is absolutely stunning, the graphics are often even superior to Oblivion or Skyrim in mood. Particularly sunrises ,p Though combat is still terrible....

What will I do now? It's sort of a tongue and cheek remark. We all know it was great, but at the same point hundreds of mods at face value sound very excessive to me. Continue being a sheeple then, wow to know that was my low mark for someone, huh.

I will say I can be pointed on certain things, but give out plenty of praise and support developers 100% over Wall Street based gaming. I know, pretty bad stuff. What does one really expect to read in gaming comments? If you have an opinion share it, no? I don't attack any members, felt that was the main no-no and I don't roll like that any way.

Hay guys. I have been linking in the other forum when people add info so you don't have to search for it at another time.

Just fyi, I have Skyrim and Oblivion and a few others in there right now.

The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard -1998

was a fun but buggy game with a strange mix of pirates and dwarven ruins.

Particularly great looking for its time.

I downloaded Morroblivion last week - updates the game to the Oblivion engine (and they're currently working on another update, to the Skyrim engine. Pretty fly:

Morroblivion

Here are some shots of the Morrowind-to-Skyrim engine and Oblivion-to Skyrim, although these mods are not yet finished:

While this looks nice, I can't tell the difference from version 2.0 of the overhaul from earlier this year.

Walking around Vivec (city) gives me the weirdest boner. So much to see and interact with.

10 years after it's release date? /eyeroll

It didn't take hundreds of mods to make it great back then, but it does allow hundreds of mods to make it greater now.

(I) The Elder Scrolls: Arena - 1994
(II) The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall - 1996
------------------------------------> An Elder Scrolls Legend: Battlespire - 1997
------------------------------------> The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard -1998
(III) The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind - 2002
(IV) The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - 2006
(V) The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - 2011

Battlespire was a failed attempt at a dungeon crawl like Ultima Underworld.
Redguard was first attempt at polygon 3d, 3rd person, and billed as an Action-RPG - 3DFX / Glide Only

Yeah, it was III.

In any case, this overhaul is incredible. Not everyone will agree with changing the look of Morrowind (though they offer an incredible range of options in the installer, all with previews), it's worth it just to get the graphics extender to run. (Which makes the game render on your graphics card, rather than 100% by the CPU...)

And this, dipshit cuntsack publishers (HELLO EA! HELLO ACTIVISION!) is why mods are fucking fantastic and you SHOULD SUPPORT THEM. Fuck you EA. Fuck you Activision.

Yup, TES III.

Think I still have version 2.2 installed. Looks like the auto updater will bring it up to date.

:p You can build your own using the steam workshop you know that right?

But it looks like I'm gonna have to sit down and play morrowind again, wonder if I should dust off the discs with a backup of my old morrowind mods.
