RE-READ IT. Sales of MoP are down 60% from the PREVIOUS expansion Cata, not from the total subscriber base.
Now all we need is Activision to make a Super Smash Brother's game with all the Blizzard characters... |

Yeah, I mean KFP I & II are pretty good movies, but they don't really seem to me to cater to the WoW crowd. Certainly not enough to base a franchise on. And I'm not sure it's enough to build an MMO on. When I first heard about the expansion, I was really kind of shocked, as it just seemed out of place compared to the original and the previous two expansions. |

Wait, wait, wait... 3.3 million copies only? I thought they still have 10 million subscribers? So it really is true that most of those are either gold bot accounts or accounts that are still subbed but arent played anymore. |

Well, there were also a million of digital copies from the annual pass... and probably another 600-700k from digital sales at worst. Hardly a failure if you ask me.
EDIT: Anyway, i bought it, it feels lackluster, but reuniting with long time guild mates and having some laughs makes it worth it. It's time for Blizz to pull Titan out |

Meh, I purchased it since I own all the other xpacks. My wife likes WoW so we re-subbed to try MoP.
Honestly, it feels lack luster to both of us. It could be the xpack or it could be we're just done with WoW once and for all. |

| It's all relative; 700k retail plus unknown number of digital sales hardly sounds like a failure, but it is definitely a huge step down from previous expansions' lofty heights. Apologies to fans of the genre, but for me Wow and the MMORPG genre can't die fast enough. |
