Still using and loving Firefox but I don't obsess over version numbers so /shrug. Any time I try to go Chrome it always is missing some functionality and doesn't have an extension I need.

Had the same thing happen. Bit of researching turned up if ya go into Options>Advanced>General Tab> Unclick Hardware acceleration, Firefox starts to play nice again. Guess one of the last updates turned that on or messed up that function.

Some recent update caused Firefox to crap out on me constantly by either crashing or hanging. So I finally made the switch to Chrome; so far, so good.

Version 15? Weren't we at 7 or 8 a few months ago?

They like to put out a new version number every 15-20 minutes...it makes them feel important.

Ummm, according to my update history firefox version 15.0.1 was installed Thursday September 6th at 8:30pm.

Chrome and Firefox background update now, I just discovered the same thing. You can disable it if you want to do it manually.
