I suspect that it is less Apple, and more the holders of the media (Sony/Columbia, Virgin, EMI, Capitol, RCA, etc.)

Didn't jobs write an open letter to the music industry calling for an end to DRM?

Gotta admire Bruce....always putting it to the man!

^D^

Jobs? THE Steve Jobs who conspired with publishers to RAISE prices of e-books by 30-40%, just to spite Amazon? That Steve Jobs? You believe he wrote a letter asking Big Content to END DRM?

I got this really cool bridge to sell you buddy. Prime real estate in San Francisco.

Jobs only let go of DRM when it was absolutely forced by the market. And, when he did it, it was presented as if he had this glorious, consumer-friendly idea, but every other company was already doing this. Apple was the last to hop on board.

Then again I think heads should roll anytime the news tells lies.
You'd end up with less than a dozen journalists for the entire country.

The question is..would that be a bad thing?

Good on Bruce Willis I say. Hopefully he keeps up the fight. Being rich and well-known makes him much harder to dismiss outright the way all of us everyday losers (the way the corporations view us) are.

Internet Journalism, where one source, a garbage tabloid, posts something without themselves a source, everyone else believes it is true and posts it on their news site.

Well at least it showed a lot of people wish something like that would happen.

Then again I think heads should roll anytime the news tells lies.

Yeah, I pointed out the falsehood of this to the team here.

Go get 'em Bruce, bend Apple over for us! I'm doubt you'll win though, Apple is going to be willing to pay off the judge well on this case.

He brings a unique angle to the table. Folks could easily say "he's rich, so he should just buy everything 4 more times, for all of his kids".

And then the lunacy of that statement takes hold...
