Taking such a device to the beach would require a solid surface to rest the device on. One screen for commands ( the one for ebooks ) and one for display. A folding design that allows to make it stand upright. Quick, patent your idea! Then you can sue everyone who makes a double-sided tablet and make millions without doing anything. American IP laws FTW!!! They've been selling those on woot for awhile now... |

| I dunno, I kind of like this idea. If I read a lot, and if I was outside enough. I guess there's a lot of ifs there... |

| Well, one of the few complaints I have about my Kindle Fire is that the screen isn't as good for reading books as the e-reader "e-ink" screens of the other models, so I can see the attraction of this at least, but I need to see more to be sold on the idea. |

| I bought an earlier version of this concept when they closed them out on Woot, the Entourage Pocket Edge. Nice toy, but not really practical. It would be a lot more useful though with newer hardware, especially if they could get it much thinner. Books are just much nicer to read on e-ink, in my opinion. |

Microsoft patented this a few months ago, too. eInk on one side, LCD on the other. Both have their purposes, and one doesn't need to be touch so it can be behind a more resistant material.
Still not sold on it. |

| Double sided, so I can get my fingerprints all over the bottom screen, or some sort of cover I need to keep flipping open and close? |
