Thanks.
Have you tried the Sleeping Dogs demo yet?
Oh wait, you can't...
I don't play games anymore. I still have yet to finish C&C3:KW, Crysis 1, World in Conflict, etc. Also, a bunch of old demos. I don't even have time for quick random Flash games these days. As you can see, I am out of gaming. |

I already HAVE Windows 7. Why would I spend 40 bucks and extra effort to then wind up with something approximating Windows 7?
Windows 8 is going to be Microsoft's biggest flop yet.
Creston I'm sticking with Windows 7 too. And I hope 8 flops. Splintering the PC segment even more and causing more disparity is just silly to me. All so they can have this shitty metro interface plastered everywhwere. Ugh. I am sticking with XP Pro. SP3. |

Creston Dammit Creston! I've become quite adept by telling who wrote a post by just seeing the avatar pic, and now you have gone and gummed up the works by changing the one you've used for years. Damn you sir!
Anyway, while I don't share in your prediction about Win 8's floppitude (my Magic 8-Ball hasn't worked for years), I completely agree with you on the way some people are selling Windows 8. What the hell does it matter if Win 8 can be tweaked to be more like Win 7 to those who already have Win 7? Are they just hoping all the XP holdouts will leapfrog to Win 8? Maybe, but just as likely they just upgrade to the perfected Win 7 when upgrade time comes around. |

Windows 8 is going to be Microsoft's biggest flop yet. Microsoft is flagrantly ignoring what people want to serve themselves here. They know people hate it and they don't care, they are just forcing it on people through the OEM market so that they can market compatibility and shout to shareholders that they finally have parity with the Apple of three years ago. |

He really makes a good case for being somewhat productive on it. Just so you know...'somewhat productive' = MASSIVE FAIL when speaking of an OS with the deployment base of Windows. |

Creston I don't think the issue is as much for savvy users like most of us on this site, but in OEM vendors where Win8 will be forced on purchasers of new laptops and desktops. I know I would just format it and install Win7, but the large majority of the market is not so inclined. |

sigh, all that blogger does is use shortcutkeys instead of actually _using_ the new interface. He even says "Windows Key Hotkeys are your life."
