They're looking for a 15% improvement over Piledriver, which is supposed to be a 10-15% improvement over Bulldozer. That doesn't really put them competitive with Intel. It might keep them from getting completely crushed, though.
The Trinity APUs (with Piledriver cores, I think?) are supposed to be pretty good for mobile, though. |
