I'm torn. I really, REALLY want to play Assassin's Creed 3, especially now that there's ship battles (I've been waiting for an age of sail sim for eons now) that look fucking awesome.
However, Ubisoft assumes I'm a thief. I'm having troubles justifying purchases with people who assume that I'm a thief. |

I can go to GoG and buy ~20-year-old, AAA titles that require at least 50 hours to complete for $5-$10--damn good games--and these guys are peddling 3 hours of game play for $15? Are they insane? That's demo material! No wonder these Ubi folks are so screwed up when it comes to computer games--they have no clue. They have to be some of the dumbest adults in the industry--*are* they adults? It doesn't sound like that.

I didn't even read anywhere before that this was an XBL Arcade game.. heh, On the trailers this looked like a full blown game, not some 4 hour snack.
Actually, I think I have already seen 20% of the game then, given how much the trailers must have spoilered |

| Not buying and of course not pirating either. Ubi has guaranteed themselves absolutely no purchases from me & friends until they drop their DRM (recursively) and apologize for tons of insults and stupid comments, i.e., never. |

It looked like a real AAA exploration / action-platformer kind of thing. Or is it like.. only 4 hours long? I didn't realize XBLA games qualify as AAA titles these days. |

But it's def fun for the 3-5 hours it takes to complete it on xbox. I really feel there's a LOT more that could be done with this setting. I think it was originally supposed to be a full-fledged retail game. However, Ubisoft decided it was either too risky or not making the kind of progress they wanted, so they reduced the scope to a downloadable game. |
