Diablo III Patch Notes Errata

A post to the Diablo III Forums has some additional patch notes for the new version 1.04 patch that just went live in the action/RPG sequel. This lists a number of details and cosmetic changes included in the patch at the time, but not listed, and they say if they recall any other omissions they will make a further follow-up.

My Witch Doctor is now fun. All outside opinions are meaningless.

I'm at the stage of life where I simply don't give a shit if someone doesn't approve of what I'm doing.

Wondering when they'll be patching the 3006 error that last nights stealth patch is now causing for US servers.

Conspiracy theory of the day: deqer is actually a Blizzard employee, riling up anti-anti-Blizzard-hate in order to win the hearts and minds of the community once again.

DISCUSS!

There's far more posts in this threat that could be from Blizzard employees in this thread than the ones from Deger.

I spent my $60 on D3, and moved on.
Threat?

I read it with more of a grumpy old man "in my day..." voice.

psst - I'm enjoying patch 1.04 immensely

Did I like Diablo 3 when it was released? Yes for awhile. Is it Diablo 2? No. Are they patching the game to make the game more fun then it was when released? Yes.

It's my fucking money I spent on the game. If you don't like it then STFU already.

Being Blizzard, yes people did/do have higher expectations from them due to their diligence and eye for polish, but Diablo 3 has been Blizzard's worse game to date. Is it so bad that it warrants the "I'm angry at Blizzard and just want attention because I come across like a douche" attitude? No.

It's alright, I'm sure we'll hear less of deqer after the first week of September. Classes and detention await!

As for the game, I hit Paragon 1 yesterday during a particularly vicious fight with a real bastard of a champion. Kept me from doing a corpse-run and seemed almost symbolic for my relationship with Diablo 3: just when I thought it was dead, it levelled up in a really satisfying way.

Yeah, I decided to give 1.04 a shot last night after the GW2 stress test ended, that was around midnight. Before I knew it it was 3 AM. I have to give kudos where kudos is due, Blizzard is fixing the game.

I'm not surprised with your response, because you're another victim as well just like this guy. You've spoken already about how you're revisiting/playing after these updates. So, I'm not surprised. And yes, by continuing to play, he is supporting the company.

Your inappropriate and misapplied use of the word victim aside, if he is having a good time and enjoying himself then there is no problem. It's his money, it's already spent which invalidates your entire argument and quite frankly it's none of your business. You aren't some special snowflake who gets to tell people what to play and how to spend their money. People like different things, grow up.

If you were in any way remotely objective or reasonable, you'd understand that Blizzard deserves criticism for their mistakes but they also deserve praise when they get something right.

Well, that's why I said he's pushing himself to continue playing it. He's telling himself to enjoy it because he spent $60 on it.

Blah, whatever.

Have fun being owned by blizzard and playing your single-player game online only, and only when Blizzard says so. Forever.

There is nothing wrong with giving them a chance to redeem themselves. Of course at this point it seems pretty unlikely that they ever will.

I will say my list of *DO NOT PAY* devs is growing rapidly.

DICE
BLIZZARD
UBISOFT
and more but they were already on the list so I don't mention them.

Who's next?

Where the hell do you get from my comment that I have to enjoy it because I spent $60 on it? Please.....find that line in my original post, cause even at age 37 I sure as hell ain't blind yet.

Here's an omission they can add....the game is still missing fun.

Sucks to be you. With the added changes, it's better than it was before. Not perfect, but it's moving in the right direction.
Why you supporting the game? You feel you owe to yourself to push on and keep playing because you spent $60?

Just eat the $60 and move on, dude.

Don't support these companies and their development practice of rushing products and patching later.

Just stop playing.

For one, it is my money.
two: I am actually enjoying it even at start and now with the new patch.
And finally, what company gets it right the first time? Probably 99 percent of the games played on my PCs have never been right the first time and could have used more development time, but you know what? I'm fine with it. I have many games in my collection that are patched that I haven't even tried yet.

We may never see QA'd games like we did in the 90s but that's most likely because we as a society want more, so you as the minority don't have as much of a voice. But you know what? These other people who bitched and complained could have also waited for the Starter version to try it out. I've always been a fan of the loot and even though I don't care for the AHs, I still have fun grinding through to see what I can find.

Uh, its his money, not yours there little fella. It's already spent anyway, he isn't "supporting" anything by just playing the game and having fun. It's a patch of largely positive changes that are moving things in the right direction, you can't put a negative spin on that just because you have a hard on for Blizzard.

And yes, by continuing to play, he is supporting the company. By having less people play, the game eventually dies and the company eventually learns. So far, I see they've learned nothing. No proof whatsoever that they've learned anything. They just feed you a couple of cookies, and you're already back on board playing it again? lulz.

Companies taking advantage of whats known as "Patching", is what's happening here. You're supporting that. You should not.

Back in the day, a patch was really a patch. It was rare, and it only fixed critical bugs. Back in the day, a game was not rushed out the door. It was tested.
