I guess you guys have never needed to transfer an extremely large file to someone that isn't tech savvy. DropBox is the easiest way.
Or you've never had some files you've known you may need access to sometime, like a video or some pictures or whathaveyou, and figured uploading it somewhere free is a decent idea just in case.
And they're free to read my files, if they want. If DropBox wants to hire a few hundred thousand people to look at everything I upload, so be it. They can see videos of my friends getting kicked out of a bar, or read the incredibly long proposal I just made to move more of our production to our East Coast factory. Go for it, dudes, it damn near put me to sleep and I made the thing.
Anything so personal I'd be ashamed if my neighbors saw it? Not going there.
Anything I can't afford to lose? Not going just there.
Anything I need to send to someone but is beyond the email limits? Dropbox!
Anything I may want to show someone some time but I'm not nerdy enough to carry around a USB stick everywhere I go? Dropbox!
