Not a big fan of sugary fizzy drinks personally. Almost all of us in North America can only get our pop made with fructose/glucose or a combination of both in it. Finding it made with cane sugar or something similar like beet sugar is rare. Another good find, if you run across it? Dr. Pepper made from cane sugar.
Oh and that egg yolk thing. I call bunk, it's about every 4 years or so they go through the "doom, not doomed, doomed, not doomed" thing. 40,000 or more years we've been eating eggs. It hasn't killed us yet, though everything else has. I think you mean http://www.theonion.com/articles/eggs-good-for-you-this-week,4144/ |

I've probably had more, for longer than you. I recently measured my Diet Dew intake over a month, it came in at roughly thirteen 12 oz cans per day on average. I really should cut back, but hey -- Diet Dew is pretty far down the list on things you don't want to over partake in. |

The former can be caused solely by HFCS, whereas obesity can be from overconsumption of either. |

I've found that I actually like the HFC sodas better, with the exception of Coke. Our local grocery store always has glass bottle sodas available, the real sugar types, for a handful of both Pepsi and Coke flavors...not sure if it's because there's bottlers near here or what it is, but can't complain.

Now that the corn crop is going to be a record-setter for prices this year, sugar cane even with tariffs added is price competitive. HFCS hits your liver HARD when it's metabolized, like drinking a beer, whereas sugar is used by all the cells in your body immediately...like alcohol. Funny that HFCS has all the negatives of alcohol, but definitely doesn't help get you laid. |

Not a big fan of sugary fizzy drinks personally. Are there pictures of kilted men on the bottle?
Oh and +1 for the throwbacks. Pepsi is my favorite as of now but I'd like to try a Dr. Pepper that isn't made of corn, also. Yeah, I pretty much stick with Pepsi Throwback or smaller companies like Jones who make drinks with real sugar. I would like Dr. Pepper and a few other big name ones to make a real sugar version, but I don't think they will. HFCS is too profitable for them. (Even though it tastes like liquid shit, in my opinion.) I also try to only drink one or two a day because damn they have a lot of extra calories. |

| Blue, when you mentioned 5 Guys the other day, I looked up one around me and gave it a try exactly with a bottle of mexican coke which I always keep in my fridge by cases. Should I mention the experience was astonishing? =) After all North Cal got some things right. |
