EA's Frank Gibeau: 'I've seen new consoles from Sony and Microsoft'. And he didn't see Nintendo's yet? |

If only a handful of games are going to sell like gangbusters at full price at launch than simply lower the prices on the other effing games! Christ, that's what happens anyway as most people just wait for sales on most titles untill they come down to a reasonable price. Because EA's games aren't doing the gangbusting at the moment. |

EA's Frank Gibeau: 'I've seen new consoles from Sony and Microsoft'. We're all very excited. Spend lots of money making these because we're totally excited and everyone will buy these. You should spend all your money making these because it's a sure thing. Do it. |

Gibeau also reaffirmed EA's commitment to free-to-play, showing off the new Command & Conquer, which is built using developer DICE's Frostbite 2 engine. "Free to play will become the dominant pricing model by the end of the decade," he added. I don't understand this all or nothing mentality. If only a handful of games are going to sell like gangbusters at full price at launch than simply lower the prices on the other effing games! Christ, that's what happens anyway as most people just wait for sales on most titles untill they come down to a reasonable price. And even for online games? Why is it $15 or nothing? Why not tiered pricing? |
