TF2 Comic Visits a Gray Area

NeoGAF sheds further light on recent hints that a Gray faction may be in the works for Team Fortress 2, Valve's teamplay shooter. They have uncovered a webcomic called Blood Brothers and other hints in what has turned out to be another of Valve's intricate ARGs. This offers pretty strong support for the theories that all this teasing related to a third robotic/cyborg faction for the game. There's an update on Kotaku where a reader explains how the squad from the valvearg.com chat cracked the puzzles they've found so far, and they link to this video collecting a the intricate series of hints about this Valve has issued over the past couple of years.

I haven't had the urge to actually play TF2 in years, but the assorted videos/comics they release in relation to the game are ridiculously awesome.

Blood Brothers, very funny, surprisingly... Valve must have a few decent writers on staff. I wish they'd just break down and make a full CGI movie in the "Meet the" style though, and stop ruining my memories of Netquake and Quakeworld TF.

Hmmm...

Gray Mann...

Gray Mann...

G-Man...

COINCIDENCE?!

Even his first name "Gray" lends some credence to this link since gray = short-term for "alien", with G-Man himself already suspected of being some sort of pseudo-omnipotent inter-dimensional "being", i.e., an alien.

I wonder though, has it ever been confirmed whether TF2 takes place in the same universe as HL/Portal? Though I guess it wouldn't really matter, if G-Man did have the ability to jump from one to the next.

This inspired me to go and watch all of the "Meet the..." videos again, and damn, they still make me laugh.

Blue, you should probably mention that it contains spoilers.
It's not a spoiler if it was meant to be found.

Uh, this post is about an ARG. Posts about ARGs typically revolve around the solving of said ARG. If you don't want to solve an ARG, you probably shouldn't read any posts about it.
