What is the psychology of stupid comedy? Are people just happy to see someone who makes them feel smart? Something like Beavis & Butthead, I don't get it. I'm pretty sure I could watch every minute ever produced and not once laugh out loud. I'd be shocked if I even chuckled more than once or twice. Do people watch this stuff when they are drunk? That might help... (actually, I'm pretty sure I couldn't watch it all without committing suicide)
Am I an intellectual elitist? I don't think so, but then elitists rarely admit to being one, right?
I'm not trying to start a discussion on B & B specifically, just figured it was a well known example. It just seems to me that the amount of "stupid" comedy has increased over the years, which I find minorly annoying.
Perhaps it is just me truly becoming the curmudgeon I've claimed to be for years... |

Dudes videos are hilarious - they have been posted around a long time ago, looks like they just got noticed and reposted. Yes, http://www.youtube.com/show/christopherwalkenthrough is hilarious. I e-mailed Blue about it but he only picked Zelda! I can't wait to see new ones! Yea, even my wife, who hates all video games except for her Ms Pac Man cocktail table, even laughed her ass off.... LOL. Did you buy it for her or she bought it? |

Had an awesome cookout with family today. Dogs chewed on bones from the butcher, while we enjoyed fish, chicken, kabobs, steak, shrimp, a few bottles of wine and some birthday cake. Great day, great company, great life.
cheers! |

Last weekend was the one where I was finally going to get into shape and start eating right. I started that trek about two months ago. If you want it bad enough, you can make it happen. I'm calorie counting (itunes app named mynetdiary) and hitting the exercise bike every day. I'm 6', and in two months I've lost a little over 20 pounds - from 250, down to about 229. And I'd love to get close to 200...

| Fun fact, they're called the Dog Days of Summer because the brightest star in the night sky, Sirius (AKA The Dog Star), rose and set with the sun during ancient Grecian/Roman summers. |

Also, have you ever tried to BBQ Salmon on a plank? I tried it but I don't think I let the plank soak long enough as it caught fire and ruined the Salmon.
...smelled nice though. I have a few planks to do this with, but haven't tried it yet. Definitely plan on soaking them well when I do, though, so I hope I don't repeat your fire experience. |
